Return Policy

Returns
Thistle + Elm has a 14-day store credit return policy. Items purchased online must be returned within two weeks from the date on which the original order was delivered in order to receive full store credit for your purchase. Items purchased in-store must be retuned within two weeks from the date on which the item was purchased. After 14 days, items will no longer be eligible for return.


To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging, with receipt or proof of purchase.


To request a return for an online purchase, please use the following link to log into your account and submit a return request: https://shopify.com/17443258422/account. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Any return shipping costs will be the responsibility of the customer, and original shipping costs will not be included in the store credit issued. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. 

 

Items purchased in-store or online may be returned within the allowed return window by visiting our retail store located at 703 N High Point Road, Madison, WI. The aforementioned return window and required product conditions apply to both online and in-store returns.

 

Exchanges

Thistle + Elm has a 14-day exchange policy. Items must be exchanged within two weeks from the date on which the original order was delivered, or item was purchased in-store. After 14 days, items will no longer be eligible for exchange.

If your request for exchange is accepted, we’ll send you instructions on how and where to send your original item. Any shipping costs incurred to return the original item as well as shipping costs to deliver the new item will be the responsibility of the customer. Items sent back to us without first requesting an exchange will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. Any damages or defects must be reported within 2 days of order delivery via an email to info@thistleandelm.com. Please include photos of any product damages or defect along with your message.


Exceptions
We cannot accept returns or exchanges on Final Sale, Let's Make a Deal, Mystery Bundle Items, Giveaway Items, Items Purchased with a Free Gift Card or on Gift Cards. Items purchased at a discount are also ineligible for return. Intimates such as bralettes, pasties, and bodysuits are also ineligible for return. Seasonal items are ineligible for return (ex: ornaments, pop of color collection, holiday candles, etc.).


Store Credit
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return. Please allow 5 business days to process the return once it has been received. If approved, store credit will be issued via a Thistle + Elm gift card, delivered by email or in person at our retail shop.
